Health Ministry Committee

"Do you know now that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased for a price. Therefore glorify God in your body."  1 Corinthians 6:19-20

The Health Ministry Committee is organized to meet the health needs of the congregation by providing health, wellness and wholeness through identification of health needs and by providing health education. This committee supports illness prevention, compliance with healthcare, and health maintenance.

Committee members may be health care professionals, but the committee will not provide any hands on health care except in the case of an emergency, serve as a substitute for medical services, or provide medical advice to individuals.

In addition, the Committee will…



• provide current health information from reliable sources to the congregation
• provide health tips/updates
• organize and maintain a Basic Life Support emergency kit that will include limited health equipment 
• develop guidelines for roles during an emergency 
• establish relationships with community resources
